Cuban anti-virus vaccine registered in Vietnam

The Ministry of Health of Vietnam has registered for use in the country the Abdala coronavirus vaccine developed by the Cuban biomedical holding BioCubaFarma. The registration of the drug was carried out as part of an accelerated procedure, local news portal VnExpress reported on Saturday.

Abdala is the eighth COVID-19 vaccine registered and approved for use in Vietnam. Prior to this, the Ministry of Health licensed the Russian Sputnik V, vaccines from American companies Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, as well as drugs from the British-Swedish pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, Vero Cell from Sinopharm, and the Hayat-Vax vaccine produced in the United Arab Emirates.
