Cambodia reopens to vaccinated foreigners

The Cambodian authorities have allowed foreigners who have been vaccinated with any coronavirus vaccines to enter the country. This was reported by the Khmer Times on Wednesday, citing the Cambodian Ministry of Health.


According to the publication, the Ministry of Health of the country pursues a "non-discrimination policy" in relation to those who want to visit the country, but recommends that arriving foreigners, if possible, be pre-vaccinated with drugs included in the WHO registry of funds for use in emergency situations.

« Any vaccine is effective, and we must not discriminate,” Or Wandin, spokesman for the Cambodian Ministry of Health, quoted the publication as saying.

On October 18, new quarantine requirements for entering Cambodia came into force. to the country of persons. Foreign investors, technical experts, diplomats, cooperation project managers and coordinators, and Cambodian civil servants returning from overseas missions will only be required to undergo a three-day quarantine. For fully vaccinated foreign and Cambodian citizens entering the country for other purposes, the mandatory quarantine period has been reduced from 14 to seven days.
