Bonsai Network Japan exports decorative miniature trees and potted shrubs from its nursery north of Tokyo.

One of the largest export markets is Europe. However, during the coronavirus pandemic, Japan maintained border restrictions, which prevented foreign customers from visiting the nursery and making orders.

All this time, sales were carried out only online. The company said that as a result, business has declined by about 20% compared to pre-pandemic levels. But now border controls are relaxed. According to the exporter, starting from April, buyers from at least ten foreign companies are planning to visit the nursery.

The Japanese exporter believes that sales will exceed the level of last year.
