Wildberries is interested in developing a network in the regions of Kazakhstan



The CEO of Wildberries expressed interest in the development of the network on the territory of even the most remote regions of Kazakhstan.
Wildberries is interested in developing its network in the most remote regions of Kazakhstan. This was stated by the company's CEO Tatiana Bakalchuk during a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin.
The press service of the Government of Kazakhstan reported on Tuesday that this is the second meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan with a representative of the marketplace. Earlier in Moscow, Serik Zhumangarin discussed with Tatiana Bakalchuk the prospects for expanding the site in Kazakhstan. After that, an investment project was initiated in Alma-Ata for the construction of a logistics center for warehousing and storage of cargo. In addition, a meeting was held with the Akimat (administration) of Astana on the issue of leasing land plots and warehouses.
As noted by Tatiana Bakalchuk, the company, in addition to development in Astana and Alma-Ata, has big plans for active activities in other regions of Kazakhstan.
"We are interested in developing the network on the territory of even the most remote regions of Kazakhstan. Now we see that there are a lot of sellers on Wildberries, including women who earn money from sales through our platform," she said.
According to the press service, for 9 months of 2022, 6,749 suppliers were registered on the Wildberries platform, the volume of sales of goods of Kazakhstani entrepreneurs amounted to more than 46.2 billion tenge (over $ 100 million). The total volume of Wildberries trade in Kazakhstan during this period amounted to 92.4 billion tenge (more than $ 201 million dollars), which is 11.4% of the total volume of e-commerce in Kazakhstan (trade growth compared to 2021 was 52%).
