More than seven hundred new jobs will be created in South Ossetia

The implementation of 13 investment projects in South Ossetia will create 760 jobs.


More than 760 jobs will be created in the Republic of South Ossetia thanks to the implementation of 13 investment projects worth 4.5 billion rubles. This was announced on Wednesday by the press service of the Government of the Russian Federation following the results of the Russian-South Ossetian intergovernmental Commission.

"The implementation of 13 investment projects in the field of agriculture, processing industry, logistics and tourism with a total cost of over 4.5 billion rubles is being discussed, as a result of which more than 760 new jobs will be created, and the republic's budget revenue will grow by about 600 million rubles," the message says.

It is noted that the meeting discussed issues of cooperation in the field of energy, the financing of pensions for Russian citizens living in South Ossetia, debt restructuring and improving payment discipline for the supply of electricity from Parameters and conditions for the implementation of the state program "Socio-economic development of the Republic of South Ossetia for 2022-2025".

The volume of financing of the new investment program is more than 3.5 billion rubles, for which 45 projects are planned to be implemented in the republic, including the construction of housing, road and educational infrastructure facilities.

"We count on the help of our Russian friends. For our part, we will continue to change ineffective approaches to solving various socio-economic issues. I think, with close cooperation and mutual understanding, we will be able to show results not only on the scale of the republic, but also on the scale of the entire Caucasus region," the press service of the Government of the Russian Federation quotes the words of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev.
