The main topic of the Eastern Economic Forum will be the program for the development of the Far East



The first meeting of the EEF-2019 Organizing Committee was held in Moscow.
The head of the organizing committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Far Eastern Federal District, Yuri Trutnev, emphasized that during its work, the WEF has become the main international forum dedicated to solving the problems of developing the eastern vector of Russian foreign policy and integrating the Russian Far East into the system of economic relations in the Asia-Pacific region.
Talking about plans for organizational and the V Eastern Economic Forum this year, Y. Trutnev said that it should be dedicated to the national program for the development of the Far East until 2025. "The program should combine the activities of already adopted national projects and state programs, long-term sectoral plans of departments and infrastructure companies, development strategies of all Far Eastern regions, taking into account the growing role of the Far East in the Russian economy," the official noted.
As the head of the Ministry for Regional Development specified Alexander Kozlov, the implementation of the "Far Eastern" national program is proceeding along two main vectors: economic growth and the achievement of living standards in the Far Eastern Federal District above the average Russian level. “I propose to define these parameters as two main sections of the Forum's business program,” he said.
The Minister suggested that the first block of the WEF business program include a presentation of the investment potential of industries broken down by each of the regions of the Far East. The second block will be presented at sessions on the implementation of 12 national projects in the Far East.
Recall that the V Eastern Economic Forum will be held on September 4-6, 2019 in Vladivostok.
