Taiwan's economy posted its highest growth in 11 years.

Taiwan's economic growth rate reached 6.28% last year. This was announced on Thursday on its website by the statistical office of the island.

This figure was the highest in the last 11 years, exceeding forecasts due to increased exports. In the fourth quarter, GDP growth accelerated to 4.88% compared to 3.7% in the third quarter of 2021.

Taiwan's economy could grow by 4.15% this year, experts predict.
