According to him, such a "straightened" route will reduce the travel time by approximately 30-35 minutes. The decision on the "straightening" of flights to other cities will be made later, the interlocutor of TASS added.

On the eve of the publication RBC reported that the authorities plan to discuss the possibility of using civil aircraft part of the airspace in the south of the country.

Since February 24, 2022, Russia has closed part of its airspace in the south and central part of the country to civilian aircraft against the background of a special military operation in Ukraine. Flights to the airports of Anapa, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov-on-Don, Simferopol and Elista are temporarily restricted.

Sochi Airport did not suspend its work, however, due to the closure of airspace in neighboring regions, the travel time increased to about 4 hours.
