The vessel "Shans-106", equipped with special equipment, was the first in Russia to start harvesting red snow crab in Primorye at a depth of up to 2.5 km, the press service of the regional administration reported on Thursday.

The vessel is equipped with reinforced engines and additional power for lifting fishing gear. The production line has been modernized and the living conditions of the crew have been improved.

“The new air freezers allow freezing up to seven tons of finished products. In the near future, the vessel will be a reference for the modernization of the rest of our fleet for deep-sea fishing in a depth range of up to 2,500 m,” the press service of the ship’s captain Vladimir Zheldak quotes.
