Entrepreneurs of the Russian Federation and Tajikistan are developing new investment projects

Entrepreneurs of Russia and Tajikistan are developing three new promising investment projects, the implementation of which is scheduled for 2023. This was announced on Friday in an interview with TASS by the trade representative of the Russian Federation in the republic Yevgeny Korenkov. He noted that a special impetus to the development of cooperation between businessmen of the two countries was given by the investment forum "Russia — Tajikistan", which was held in Dushanbe on September 15, 2022.

"The result is that three highly promising investment projects have been taken into joint study with the trade mission: a center with electron accelerators for phytosanitary treatment, fruit processing for the production of pectin and the creation of a production capacity for the production of shoes," the agency interlocutor said.

He noted that currently Russian companies, with the support of the trade mission, collect all the necessary information in the state bodies of the republic. "We plan to move to the active practical phase in 2023," Korenkov said.

The volume of accumulated investments coming to Tajikistan from the Russian Federation over the past 13 years amounted to more than $ 1.6 billion, of which direct investments exceeded $ 900 million. In the total volume of investments in Tajikistan, Russian investments account for more than 16%.
