MAKS-2017



From July 18 to July 23, 2017, the XII International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS-2017) will be held at the Ramenskoye airfield (Zhukovsky, Moscow region). Previously, the air show was held in August, but in 2017 the dates of its holding were postponed to July.
According to Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Oleg Bocharov, this was done to facilitate the participation of small and medium-sized European companies, in which have a vacation period in August.
Zhukovsky Airport (open in ;2016 at based on Ramenskoye airfield) during the days of the air show will continue to receive regular flights, but the schedule of arrivals and departures will be adjusted.
According to the general director of MAKS-2017 Alexander Levin , 200 aircraft will be involved in the salon program, of which 84 will take part in the flight program, and manufacturers will demonstrate another 116 aircraft at the parking lot. A separate exposition will be shown by the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of Russia.
In total, 770 participating companies are expected at the air show, of which 140 — from 30 foreign countries. Separate national pavilions will be presented by Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Czech Republic, China, India, Iran, Canada and Belarus. Eight aerobatic teams will show their skills within the framework of the flight program of the air show, including the teams of the Russian Aerospace Forces "Russian Knights", "Swifts", "Wings of Taurida", "Falcons of Russia", and also the team of the UAE Air Force Al ;Fursan ("Knights") on Aermacchi MB-339 jet trainers.
