Krasnodar region was named the most attractive for tourism

The National Union of the Hospitality Industry and the International Center for Creative Hospitality presented the “Rating of the investment attractiveness of tourist regions”, prepared with the support of the RK-Investment Fund.
It presented the key factors for creating a favorable investment climate in Russia and assessed the tourist attractiveness of 11 regions of the country. Krasnodar Territory ranked first and Kamchatka Territory ranked last.
Krasnodar Territory was named a key Russian destination for resort and beach tourism. According to the report, in 2020, 6,233.8 thousand Russian tourists and 91.8 thousand foreign citizens stayed in hotels in the region. It is noted that the largest cities in the region - Krasnodar and Sochi - have become centers of business, urban, sports and event tourism.
“The Roscongress Foundation is a non-financial development institution that pays special attention to the regional direction. For many years we have been helping enterprises in the regions to demonstrate to the international community the wide possibilities of Russian business initiatives. I am sure that the creation of such a rating will be in demand both on the part of entrepreneurs and investors”, - said the director of the Fund “RK-Investments” Alexander Shatirov.
“Creating a favorable investment climate is one of the most important tasks in the development strategy of our great country. Without investments and investors, the state alone will never be able to create all the infrastructure necessary for the positive dynamics of socio-economic development in the regions, as well as for the priority development of domestic tourism. Thanks to the rating, I am sure that we will see the current objective state of affairs and take the right steps in the future,”, - stressed the President of the National Union of the Hospitality Industry Aleksey Volkov.
Groups of factors influencing the following indicators were studied: revenue, costs, risks, clusters and institutional environment for tourism development, financial performance of enterprises in the tourism and hospitality industry, as well as tourist attractions.
“When creating strategies development and attraction of investments to create a hotel infrastructure in Russia, it is very important to have such an analytical tool. The Center brings together Russian and international industry professionals, and we will be able to transfer analytics to attract partners in education, tourism and the hospitality industry”, - added the director of the educational Center for Creative Hospitality Inna Pekhova.
