The leaders of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan discussed the intensification of trade and economic cooperation.


The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayevduring a telephone conversation with the head of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyevdiscussed the intensification of trade and economic cooperation. This was announced on Monday by the press service of the President of Kazakhstan.


Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev and Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed the current state and prospects for the development of the Kazakh-Uzbek strategic partnership and  alliance. The heads of state paid special attention to intensifying cooperation in trade, economic and other areas of mutual interest. Mutual inclination was expressed for the further comprehensive development of a multifaceted partnership, - the message says.


The Presidents exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the Victory Day, wished prosperity and well-being to the fraternal peoples.


“The leaders also considered topical issues of regional cooperation, in particular, the upcoming consultation meeting of the presidents of Central Asian states this summer,” the press service explained. .
