Eurasia Airshow-2018 starts in Turkey

The first international air show in the history of the republic will be held at the airport in Antalya. The event will be open for specialists for three days, and on April 28-29 - for everyone. 


Demonstration flights of civilian aircraft are planned at the exhibition, as well as performances by aerobatic teams, among which are Turkish Stars. To this end, the airport of the resort Antalya will suspend the reception and departure of civil aircraft for 3.5 hours daily during the air show, TASS reports. 

According to the Director General of Eurasia Airshow Ferhat Yenibertiz, the event is named so not in vain. It highlights Turkey's unique strategic location. “We have outlets to China, the Middle East, Asia and Europe. One of the main goals of the air show is partnership at the forum site between companies and delegations from different countries,” Ferhat Yenibertiz quotes Aviaport.ru. 

Russia will be represented quite widely in Antalya. The organizers received confirmation of their participation from Rosoboronexport, Rostec, UAC, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft, and Yamal Airlines.

The total exposition area will be 300 thousand square meters. meters, where more than 150 aircraft will be presented. In total, at least 400 foreign corporations from more than 100 countries will take part in the air show. 

Qatar is an important partner for Turkey, which will take part in the Eurasia Airshow. Ankara and Doha have been actively developing relations in various fields over the past year. 

So, Qatar Airways will show the flagship Gulfstream G650ER business class aircraft. Its main difference from its closest competitors is its increased flight range, which is almost 14,000 km. 

Another exhibit presented at the stand of Qatar Airlines will be the exclusive Qsuite business class cabin. It is equipped in the latest wide-body aircraft Airbus A350-1000 and features an innovative configuration. 
 
Also at Eurasia Airshow, the Turkish company STM will present modernized TOGAN reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and drones in the military equipment section. kamikaze ALPAGU Blok II and KARGU. They are also called "Turkish soldiers in the sky". The difference from conventional UAVs is that, having found a target, they swoop down on it, carrying a deadly charge. If during the mission it was not possible to detect the enemy, the drone returns to the launch site.
