The Chinese consumer loves coffee, which, given the scale of commercial demand in China, has caused a sharp increase in coffee plantation areas in exporting countries.

For 4 years - from 2014 to 2019 - the market for bulk purchases of coffee beans in China has grown by approximately one third.

Curiously, this trend has continued this year as well. So, in the first 8 months of 2020, imports increased by 14% compared to the same period last year.

"On average, shipments from overseas reach Shanghai from the point of shipment in 1 month. It takes about a week to clear customs. After that, the cargo of grains enters our granary, where constant temperature and humidity are maintained."

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, coffee bean prices have increased even more. The increase in purchase rates is observed both for products from Latin America and Ethiopia.
