Big Industrial Week took place in Uzbekistan

The Pharmaceutical and Medical Products block was opened for the first time at the INNOPROM International Industrial Exhibition.

Tashkent hosted the International Industrial Exhibition “INNOPROM. Big Industrial Week in Uzbekistan”. The event was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the co-organizer of the block "Pharmaceutical and medical products" - the Center for Corporate Communications "S-GROUP".

The delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia was headed by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov. The Republic of Uzbekistan was represented by the Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov. From the Russian side, the forum was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health of Russia, the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare and the FBU SID and NP.

Similar steps for accelerated examination were taken by the regulatory authorities of other countries, including the EAEU. Also, during the pandemic, for the first time, the mechanism for conducting GMP inspections online began to be applied, which made it possible to maintain the highest standards of control over production conditions and product quality even during the lockdown. Obviously, some of the innovations can be preserved in the future, which will also be the subject of discussion by representatives of different countries at the upcoming forum.
Particular attention will be paid to the issues of mutual registration, localization of production and import substitution, building new logistics and establishing effective models of international cooperation. In 2021, we plan to develop the pharmaceutical and medical block at the INNOPROM exhibition, which will be held in Yekaterinburg in July, ”said Olga Sobchenko, managing partner of CCC S-GROUP, on the eve of the event.

The exposition of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade was made in the form of a hospital ward, where pharmaceutical and medical products of domestic manufacturing companies were located. Here, in a realistic setting, visitors and exhibitors were able to get acquainted with innovative medicines, medical devices and the most modern samples of medical equipment. The booth presented novelties that are successfully used in the fight against coronavirus infection: ultraviolet bactericidal irradiators-air recirculators, ventilators, PCR systems, and other developments. 

Participation in the INNOPROM. Big Industrial Week in Uzbekistan” was attended by representatives of authorities, associations and major international companies from 20 countries. Among them are China, Germany, France, Turkey, India, Italy and Japan. About 6,000 square meters of exhibition space are used for the events. More than 200 business meetings and over 15 business events took place, participation in INNOPROM, more than 100 exhibitors were represented.
