Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, President of the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio Valery Ruzin believes that self-isolation in 2020 has unexpectedly made it possible to concentrate on creativity. He gave such a comment in connection with the International Film Day, celebrated on December 28 all over the world.

“The advent of cinema at the end of the 19th century marked the beginning of a new era - the era of “screen culture”. In the early 1990s, together with the outstanding culturologist Anatoly Prokhorov (who, alas, recently passed away), I first raised the question of “screen culture” as the cause of fundamental changes in culture as a whole. The reality exceeded our expectations. The new information environment, created by the Internet and a new generation of gadgets, reflects, creates and changes reality every day, presents us with a picture of the world in all its manifestations: scientific, everyday and artistic. Screen culture has penetrated into our everyday life. Documentaries today are available to almost everyone. In the modern world, there is a massive documentary imprinting of millions of people of their lives. This was especially revealed by the outgoing 2020, which unexpectedly gave the opportunity to take advantage of self-isolation and quarantine and concentrate on creativity. How talented and full-scale it will be possible to put together a full-fledged puzzle from private paintings, reflecting the picture of the whole world, I hope we will soon see,” says Valery Ruzin.

Recall that the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio and the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly href="http://eurasia-assembly.org/ru/festival-pobedili-vmeste">Sevastopol International Festival of Documentary Films and TV Programs “WIN TOGETHER”. Festival President - People's Artist of the Russian Federation Vladimir Menshov. Project Manager - Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, President of the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio Valery Ruzin. The purpose of the festival is to draw attention to the issues of preserving the historical memory of peoples, supporting the movement against the erosion of value and semantic aspects of history, falsification of the results of the Second World War and the Great Patriotic War; intensify the search for new practices for the formation of constructive and constructive images of the memory of the Victory over fascism, which would help strengthen mutual understanding and peaceful relations between countries and peoples.

International Cinema Day is celebrated around the world on December 28th. This is a holiday for filmmakers and movie lovers. It was on December 28, 1895, that the brothers Auguste and Louis Lumiere, owners of a photographic plate factory, organized the first commercial film show. It took place in Paris, in the Grand Cafe on the Boulevard des Capucines, and became the beginning of the mass popularity of cinema.
