The annual meeting of the General Council of the Assembly of Peoples of Eurasia was held in Egypt

The expanded meeting, which was held in a mixed format, was attended by members of the General Council of the Assembly of Peoples of Eurasia, members of the Supreme Advisory Council, honorary guests and partners of the Assembly of Peoples of Eurasia from different countries.

Opening the meeting, Secretary General of the Assembly of Peoples of Eurasia Andrey Belyaninov noted that year after year the Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia is increasingly developing its activities in cooperation with partners from different countries, implementing international projects through cultural, educational, humanitarian and economic cooperation. Being a public international initiative, the Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia provides new opportunities for versatile cooperation.

The First Deputy Secretary General – Head of the General Secretariat made a report on the activities of the Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia over the past year Svetlana Smirnova.

The members of the General Council also reviewed and approved the long-term plan of the Assembly's activities for 2023, emphasizing the need to continue cooperation with international organizations such as the UN, EAEU, EU, SCO, BRICS, CIS, Union State, ASEAN and others.

Among the priority organizational tasks, it was decided to pay special attention to the formation of a network of Representative Offices of the Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia in different countries; to continue active interaction and cooperation with partners of the Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia on the implementation of joint tasks stated in the signed agreements.

It is recommended to pay special attention to work with the younger generation of the Eurasian countries, promoting the introduction of new formats of cooperation between youth institutions of civil society and members of the Youth Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia, as well as work to preserve common historical memory and counteract the distortion of historical facts.

By a general instruction, the members of the General Council and the staff of the General Secretariat decided to further implement international projects aimed at strengthening integration processes through peacemaking dialogue, public diplomacy, and multifaceted cooperation with partners from different countries of Greater Eurasia.

During the consideration of the issues on the approved agenda, the members of the General Council paid special attention to the strategic line, approving the Main Activities of the Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia until 2025.

The General Council approved new councils and committees of the Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia, in particular the Committee on Migration, the Council of Economic Research, the Indian Business Council, the Council on Historical Memory, the Council on Children's Creativity.

Traditionally, the meeting of the General Council of the Assembly of Peoples of Eurasia ended with the presentation of certificates to new members and the signing of cooperation agreements with new partners.

The Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia plans to further expand the formats and types of unifying platforms in the context of people's diplomacy, which has every opportunity to catch new trends in uniting people's forces around the world, promote advantages in the form of reliable partners, new areas of activity, additional communication channels, be flexible, actively expand diplomatic relations, strengthen multilateral cooperation. cooperation at the international level.

The Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia unites representatives of non-governmental organizations from more than 50 countries today. More than 180 partnership agreements have been signed in the field of culture, education, entrepreneurship, the development of integration ties between the peoples of Eurasia and public diplomacy.

The achieved unity of the members and partners of the Assembly of Peoples of Eurasia is a valuable result of common efforts.
