The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly has begun to create a unique audio manual on journalism for blind children

“Journalism Lessons for Blind Children” is the name of the new textbook, which experts of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly have started working on. The audio aid will allow children with vision problems to get acquainted with the basics of the profession of a journalist.

The textbook will contain several sections, after listening to which, you can study the genres of journalism and stylistic features, the history of world and Russian journalism.">became the winner of a special contest of the Presidential Grants Fund. It has been highly acclaimed by the expert team. The relevance and social significance of the project are obvious. More than 1,000 "special" children of the Volga Federal District will have access to a unique audio guide for acquiring professional skills in the field of journalism, which will allow them to further determine their career interests, develop their creative abilities, and involve them in the interesting world of journalism.

Project « Teaching journalism to young people and children from 12 years of age with physical disabilities due to diseases of the eye and its adnexa "Journalism Lessons for the Blind" is implemented by the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia" using a grant from the President of the Russian Federation for social services, social support and protection of citizens provided by the Presidential Grants Fund.

Project manager Olga Chirkova is a well-known expert in the field of creating inclusive methods. Her activities, led by her Center for Social Producing "Zhuraveynik" and the project "Children of Eurasia", received wide confession. Many of its pupils study at the faculties of journalism in the largest universities in Russia.

One of the first to support the idea of creating a textbook was a well-known journalist  Alexey Samoletov, among his social initiatives is an audio project & nbsp; "Tales of the Peoples of the World", which was highly appreciated & nbsp; teachers, parents of blind children and warmly welcomed by young listeners.

The audio guide is being developed with the consulting work of Eurasian journalists: Dmitry Brikman (Israel), Hayato Matsumoto (Japan), who have experience working with the target audience of the project.
< br> The project "Journalism Lessons for the Blind" involves professionals and enthusiasts who develop inclusive additional education for young people and children with diseases of the eye and its adnexa - teachers, tiflopedagogues, psychologists, managers and employees of educational and rehabilitation centers, regional centers of the All-Russian associations of the blind, parents of children with disabilities.

The project "Journalism Lessons for the Blind" is a continuation of the joint activities of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and the Udmurt regional children's public organization "Centre for social production" Zhuraveynik "in the framework of the project "Children of Eurasia", launched in 2018.
