The Assembly launches the online marathon "Symphony of Eurasian Languages"

The International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly" under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO launches an online marathon "Symphony of Eurasian Languages" for the International Mother Language Day.

The online marathon "Symphony of Eurasian Languages" will be opened by Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrey Belyaninov and Executive Secretary of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Grigory Ordzhonikidze .

“A unique online project designed to remind once again of the need to preserve the linguistic and cultural diversity of our multilingual planet. To revive in memory that greatest thing, to hear that new thing, which the peoples are so proud of, which we love so much. Language is the soul of a people. We hope that the celebration of the International Day of Native Languages will help to realize what priceless wealth we have and preserve it for future generations,” the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly reported.

The program of the 5-hour online marathon includes inclusions from countries of Eurasia, congratulations of public figures and politicians. The viewer will see musical greetings from 450 artists in 38 languages. Poems, songs, stories, cartoons and fairy tales for children. Special guests of the marathon from Russia, France, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Greece, Kyrgyzstan, Italy, Serbia, Germany, Armenia, Israel, Ukraine, Poland, India, Portugal, Great Britain, South Korea, Switzerland, Turkey, China, Tajikistan, Georgia.< br>
"Children of Eurasia" prepared a special program for the whole family - fairy tales, stories and cartoons, as well as the presentation of the innovative media project "Journalism Lessons for the Blind", supported by the Presidential Grants Foundation.

The youth of different countries will show the beauty native language in poetic and musical compositions. Members of the Coordinating Council of the Eurasia Youth Assembly and its activists joined the marathon. A total of 104 young people took part in the training.

“We did not expect such a great response and such participation. The marathon is in a few days, but we are still receiving applications for participation and videos from different parts of Eurasia. We made new friends, and at the same time ideas of new projects were born, we will tell about them later, and now we invite everyone to our marathon on February 21, ”the Eurasia Youth Assembly said.
