On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we thank the partners of the unique project "Journalism Lessons for the Blind"

December 3 is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 1992.


This year's theme is Building Better Again: Towards an inclusive, accessible and sustainable post-COVID-19 world with the help of, for and with people with disabilities. In the context of the theme, UNESCO emphasizes the importance of strengthening collective efforts to ensure universal access to basic services, including social protection, education, digital infrastructure, accessible information, employment and other social and cultural opportunities.

This day is intended to remind us all of the need to continue to make efforts to ensure favorable conditions for the full and effective participation of people with disabilities in all spheres of life on an equal basis with others.

Project "Training journalism for young people and children from 12 years old with physical disabilities due to diseases of the eye and its adnexa > implies the creation of a manual “Journalism Lessons for Blind Children”. The audio aid will allow children with vision problems to get acquainted with the basics of the profession of a journalist. The textbook will contain several sections, after listening to which you can study the genres of journalism and stylistic features, the history of world and Russian journalism. support and protection of citizens provided by the Presidential Grants Fund.
