On June 17, the International Public Forum on Preserving the Memory of World War II and the Great Patriotic War "To be worthy of the memory of the fallen" will be held

The Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio and the Association of Researchers of the Russian Society (AIRO-XXI) will hold on June 17 from 17:00 to 19:00 (Moscow time) the International Public Forum on Preserving the Memory of World War II and the Great Patriotic War “To be worthy of memory the fallen."


Historians, scientists, public and political figures of the victorious countries are invited to participate in an online conference on the causes and lessons of the Second World War, the importance of drawing the attention of the general public to the issues of preserving historical memory, countering attempts to rehabilitate Nazism.

International the public forum continues its activities in the conditions of forced restrictions and draws attention to the issues of preserving the historical memory of peoples, supports the movement against the erosion of the value and semantic aspects of history, falsification of the results of World War II.

First held as part of the XV Sevastopol International Film Festival « WIN TOGETHER" in May 2019 the forum was continued during the Days of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in Baku in October 2019, and in February 2020 it was held in Yalta, in rmate of the international scientific conference -1945: the lessons of history”. The initiative, born in Sevastopol, united the forum participants in a continuous dialogue and became an effective tool and a real platform for cooperation between representatives of the international community.

The forum will be broadcast live in the official account of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly on Facebook.
