New educational initiatives of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly supported by the International Forum

At the invitation of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Igor Karpenko, the delegation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly led by the Secretary General of the Assembly Andrei Belyaninov took part in the International Educational Forum of the Unity of Foreign Graduates of Belarusian (Soviet) Universities and CIS Countries in Minsk on October 6 and 7.


Speaking at the opening of the forum, Andrey Belyaninov noted the need to develop a dialogue on ways to improve the efficiency of the work of alumni associations in order to further strengthen friendship, exchange experience and develop scientific and educational cooperation, as well as more effectively use the professional and human potential of foreign graduates to promote international social interaction. The forum participants warmly supported the thesis of the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly that often foreign graduates show a highly patriotic position in relation to the country of education, considering it their second homeland.

At the events of the forum, the purpose of which was to establish international business contacts in the field of education, science and business, the successful experience of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in this direction was presented. Representatives of associations of graduates of Soviet and Russian universities, leading experts, journalists, political scientists, scientists and cultural figures, chairmen of friendship societies and other non-governmental organizations of the Eurasian space showed considerable interest in the developments and formats proposed by the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.

Andrey Belyaninov held a number of working meetings with the Secretary General of the Union of Arab Universities Amr Ezzat Salama, heads of associations of foreign graduates from Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon and other countries. Based on the results of the meetings, specific projects are planned, which will soon be fixed in a number of agreements.

On October 6, at the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, a meeting of rectors of leading Belarusian and Russian universities with delegations of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and the Union took place within the framework of the forum. Arab universities, where Andrey Belyaninov acted as a key speaker. The participants unanimously supported the proposal of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly on the formation of the Eurasian ranking of universities.

The delegation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, which also included Deputy Secretary General Sergey Konovalenko and Yulia Petrova, Head of the Office of the Secretary General Anton Martynyuk, took an active part in the discussion of issues cooperation, the role of foreign alumni associations in developing business relations, promoting research and development in order to promote the development of new requirements for the quality of education, taking into account the needs of the global labor market.

The event was organized by the International Association of University Graduates in the Republic of Belarus with the support Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation and the World Association of Alumni of Russian (Soviet) Universities.

The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly expresses its gratitude to the member of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, Chairman of the Committee on External Relations of the Union of Arab Graduates of Soviet and Russian Universities Professor Yasser Allaham for active assistance in organizing the visit of the delegation.
