The IX St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum has been postponed to 2021. The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly also postpones the panel discussion previously planned within the framework of the forum.

As reported  ;press service of the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, in agreement with the Government of the Russian Federation, decided to cancel the IX St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum in 2020 and hold it in 2021. The dates of the Forum in 2021 were announced back in 2018 – November 11–13.

“The safety of Forum participants and guests is the main priority of the organizers. The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation held consultations with the Government of St. Petersburg on the issues of holding the Forum this year. Due to the deteriorating sanitary and epidemiological situation both in the country as a whole and in St. Petersburg, it is impossible to hold the Forum this year in person without the threat of the spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) among the participants. At the same time, due to the multi-profile sections and tracks of the project, holding the Forum online, according to the Ministry of Culture of Russia, will not be effective and will not allow to fully realize its main goals - open communication of the international cultural community, free exchange of opinions in a friendly atmosphere and maintaining informal contacts between foreign delegations and cultural figures from different countries,” the message says.

Recall that the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly planned to take part in the IX St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum (SPbIFF 2020) and hold a panel discussion with the participation of a pool of international experts from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Gambia, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan , Liechtenstein, Russia, Ukraine, France and other countries. Discussion topic – "Cultural and spiritual foundations of international public relations”. The Assembly thanks all those who took part in the preparation of the panel discussion and looks forward to continued cooperation in this area in 2021.
