Eurasian Volunteer Forum to be held in Bashkiria

On May 20, Dmitry Trapeznikov, Secretary of the Representation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan, took part in an online meeting of volunteers with the head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov.


Leaders of the volunteer movement of Bashkortostan, entrepreneurs, athletes, public figures and artists shared their experience of helping people during the pandemic live.

In addition to regional participants, Artem Metelev, Chairman of the Association of Volunteer Centers, and volunteers neighboring countries - Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

During a remote meeting, Radiy Khabirov thanked the participants of the volunteer movement for their selfless work and offered to organize a large-scale Eurasian forum of volunteers, to which delegations from countries throughout the Eurasian space would be invited, so that they could to exchange experiences, but also to communicate and sign cooperation agreements. The event will be organized by the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The date and venue of the forum will be determined later.

Recall that about 5,000 residents of the Republic of Bashkortostan volunteered to help the population in the context of the spread of a new coronavirus infection. Three regional headquarters work daily, which accept applications and appeals from residents of the republic. In particular, the Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan joined the volunteer project "Our Care" of the United Russia party. Project activists help elderly people, people with limited mobility who are in voluntary quarantine due to coronavirus, with the delivery of food and medicine.
