On the eve of the 16th International Festival of Family Media Creativity "Sunflower", storytellers from different countries gathered at the site of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly at a round table called "The Journey of a Fairy Tale. From Europe to Asia".

Teachers, artists, writers spoke, of course, about fairy tales. What fairy tales are necessary for modern children? Which fairy-tale hero is especially relevant today? What is designing in a fairy tale theme? Is it possible for young talents to make storytelling their profession in the future?

Svetlana Smirnova, First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, addressed the participants of the round table with a welcoming speech. She noted the significance and importance of fairy tales in the upbringing of children, in strengthening friendship.

The round table was the beginning of a big conversation about the role of fairy tales in the lives of children in different countries. It launched the final stage of preparations for the International Festival of Family Media Creativity "Sunflower", which will be held in Izhevsk (Udmurtia, Russia) from September 11 to 13, where true professionals in their field will gather to write a large book of fairy tales about happiness.
