Belyaninov and Karpov discussed new forms of strengthening the confidence of states

Today, on January 21, the first meeting of Andrei Belyaninov and Anatoly Karpov this year took place at the headquarters of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Moscow.

Andrey Belyaninov, Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, and Honorary President of the International Association of Public Associations "Association of Chess Federations", Deputy of the State Duma, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship, Chairman of the International Association of Peace Foundations, multiple champion World Chess Team Anatoly Karpov discussed the creation of conditions for strengthening trust and cooperation between countries, new forms of rapprochement of the positions of states and other initiatives. The conversation also touched upon the topic of building trust between countries through sports.

The working meeting was also attended by First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Svetlana Smirnova.
< br> Let us recall that the main instrument of the work of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly is public diplomacy. The Assembly also pays great attention to issues of sports diplomacy as a lever that influences to the development of international relations. Anatoly Karpov is active in public activities in this area. One of his projects is the international program "Chess for Peace". He talked about it in one of his interviews, while in the UN building in New York at a session simultaneous game with fans of this sport.

About the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly

The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly is an international non-governmental organization aimed at forming a social integration model in the name of establishing peace and consent through the development of multilateral cooperation and public (people's) diplomacy in the Eurasian space.
