The Kazakh stage of the cycling expedition from Moscow to Beijing has been successfully completed. One and a half thousand kilometers traveled along the roads of Kostanay, Akmola and Pavlodar regions were remembered not only by the endless steppes, cruel winds, magnificent views and difficult roads, but also by meetings with the inhabitants of Kazakhstan. Thanks to the support of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and the Assembly of the Peoples of Kazakhstan, Maxim Mikhalev's speeches were held in the Houses of Friendship in Astana and Pavlodar, which were attended by both representatives of the country's business elite and heads of ethno-cultural associations of its regions, as well as representatives of youth, sports organizations and the media. However, the most important and most memorable were largely accidental, but even more significant meetings with ordinary people who inhabit this hospitable country in the very center of the continent. With the workers of Ekibastuz, the farmers of Kostanay, labor migrants from the outskirts of Astana, the policemen of Pavlodar. Thanks to these fleeting road meetings and intimate conversations, Kazakhstan became closer and more understandable to a scientist and traveler from Moscow, and its residents, in turn, learned a little more about why peace and harmony are so important in our time. Good luck and a fair wind were often wished by the inhabitants of Kazakhstan to Maxim; good luck, prosperity and peace he asks to wish them in return.
