A great resonance in the media was caused by the speech of the Secretary General of the Assembly of Peoples of Eurasia Andrey Belyaninov at the opening of the International IT Forum with the participation of the SCO and BRICS countries in Khanty-Mansiysk (KhMAO-Yugra, Russia).

Andrey Belyaninov is sure that KhMAO-Yugra has a huge potential in the field of IT technologies. Thus, the Russian Autonomous Okrug has every opportunity to create a center for the production of computer chips. There are only three such centers in the world, and all of them are not located on the territory of the Russian Federation.

"We have learned words such as localization, attraction. Here (in Khanty-Mansiysk. – Ed.) you can create a center for the production of chips. And it will not just be the digital capital of Russia, it will be a real production point," Andrei Belyaninov suggested.

Also, the Secretary General of the Assembly of Peoples of Eurasia noted the great prospects of KhMAO-Yugra in attracting IT specialists from the countries of Eurasia. Ugra has every opportunity to create comfortable working conditions for expats.

Andrey Belyaninov noted that the decision of the Russian Federation to train its IT specialists at an advanced pace is absolutely correct, but it must be competent, because it takes time to train, and Russia does not have it. In addition, "speaking about the production of specialists in the field of information technology, it is necessary to make no less a request for the training of specialists in setting professional tasks."

The Secretary General of the Assembly of Peoples of Eurasia also touched upon the topic of information security in his speech.

"Now we are talking about dependence, independence, interdependence. We are very vulnerable. You know better than me how many cyberattacks we are currently experiencing... <...> We really need to fight this. But systematically," Andrei Belyaninov said.

Recall that the Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia, together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, has begun work on creating a Eurasian digital platform to support industry businesses that suffer losses from sanctions aimed at curbing the growth of the Russian economy, but have technological or ideological potential. The purpose of the platform is to create a register of such enterprises and provide "digital bridges" between representatives of the business community in Eurasia to ensure the effectiveness of such enterprises by providing consulting, investments and other means of support. At a meeting held before the forum in Khanty-Mansiysk with the Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug Natalia Komarova Andrey Belyaninov, Secretary General of the Assembly of Peoples of Eurasia, proposed that the Autonomous Okrug become a pilot region in the platform being created.
