Today, December 10, the whole world celebrates Human Rights Day.

In connection with this significant holiday for all mankind, the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrey Belyaninov recalls the most important document of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly - Charter of the Peoples of Eurasia.

“We, the free peoples of Eurasia, in the name of uniting people of good will on the principle of friendship and cooperation without distinction of ethnic, racial, national affiliation, religion, social status, political, ideological and of ideological convictions, we hereby declare a common desire to maintain peace among peoples, to protect and increase the achievements of human civilization, its spiritual, cultural, historical values, as well as natural wealth. We agree to follow the unshakable basis of life – the international morality of peaceful coexistence, the ethical and moral rules of good neighborliness and commonwealth of peoples,” the document says.

we recognize the spiritual unity of all peoples of the world, we respect their personal rights, statehood, freedoms, languages, beliefs, traditions, customs, culture, ethnic identity.”

The United Nations Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a landmark document that proclaimed the inalienable rights inherent in every person, regardless of race, color, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, class or other status. The Declaration is translated more than any other document in the world: it exists in more than 500 languages.

This year's Human Rights Day theme is related to the COVID-19 pandemic. “We will achieve shared global goals only if we can create equal opportunities for all, address the weaknesses identified by COVID-19 that fuel the spread of infection, and apply human rights standards to combat entrenched and systemic intergenerational issues of inequality, exclusion and discrimination ”, - reported on the UN website.
