Andrei Belyaninov: The Commonwealth of Nations should become a new form of self-organization of the world community

The Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrey Belyaninov at an expanded meeting of the Presidium of the General Council, held in Sevastopol on September 4, 2020, announced a new stage in the development of the organization.


In particular, he said: “Public diplomacy plays an important role in ensuring trust between states and peoples, in finding ways to peacefully resolve new challenges. Therefore, the modern world is increasingly pushing the international community to organize joint platforms for creative and business meetings, for an open dialogue and exchange of experience. Our numerous meetings, negotiations, trips to different countries show great interest in the very idea of Eurasian integration.

At the first stage of development, the activities of the Assembly to a greater extent consisted in uniting active citizens, international public figures. The next step should be the establishment of the diplomatic role of non-governmental organizations in the conditions of the formation of a multipolar world, the unification of public organizations in different countries, representing the interests of their peoples.

Therefore, when holding our session in Crimea, we invited both government officials and the local community. We are faced with our common task - the establishment of the commonwealth of peoples as a new form of self-organization of the world community, based on the principle of unity of socio-cultural, economic and geopolitical space.

The place and time of the meeting were not chosen by chance. On the Crimean land, from August 27 to September 6,   target="_blank">cycle of international events with the participation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.
