The "INDIA TODAY" Project

Dear colleagues!

"Big Asia" TV channel and bigasia.ru website started their work on June 1, 2017. It is very symbolic that the presentation of our Project was held as part of SPIEF-2017 at the "Make in India" area. The business community of our countries supported the initiative of the Public Council of the channel in promoting in the Russian media field Indian companies, the achievements of India in space exploration and development of railroads, the creation of new pharmaceuticals and the construction of industrial enterprises, including nuclear power plants. In three years, we have introduced to our viewers and website users the thousand-year history of India. Hundreds of nationalities, more than twenty official languages (!), which along with Hindi and English are recognized in India. Perhaps there are no other countries in the world where schools are taught in fifty-eight languages, and newspapers, which are the most important media for the people of India, are printed in 87 languages. Mystical UNEXPLORED INDIA attracts tourists from Russia and other parts of the world. It is a bright, colorful, friendly, fantastically beautiful and mysterious country. We immerse our audience in the nuances of Indian history and culture, together with the heroes of our television programs and publications we permeate deeper and deeper into the sacred world of the unique civilization, which gave the inhabitants of the Earth not only decimal number recording system, but as well the highest values of inner peace and harmony of the East, for which people of the West come here...
On September 25, 2014, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Maudie, announced his major country development project entitled "Make in India". This Program aims to implement large-scale infrastructure projects by attracting external investors to whom the government promises to create the most favorable conditions for business. I am sure that together with Indian businessmen, government officials and cultural figures we must tell as much as possible to our viewers and website users about the success stories of India, about plans to build industrial corridors and "smart" cities.
Russia is a strategic partner of India, cooperation between our countries is multifaceted. The key issue of the Russian-Indian relations is the creation of mechanisms for regional and global security. Tourism and culture, sports and education, modern technologies and a millennial history are just a few of the topics promoted by "Big Asia" TV channel and bigasia.ru website.
Today I propose to open another page of the Russian-Indian cooperation in the media sphere. Now we give the start to the new project - "India Today"!
We would like to do this project together with our Indian colleagues, we want to open India to the Russian-speaking audience together. The basis of the Project will be the country news magazine "India Today", which will be broadcasted daily at different times of the day to give an opportunity to watch it to the maximum number of people interested in the world of the East. Together with our Indian partners we will talk about the history, culture, traditions, science, economy, nature, sport and lifestyle of India. There will definitely be a news block in the TV magazine. We want our audience to be informed about the most important events taking place in India. The program will always include interviews with iconic people shaping the Russian-Indian agenda. We will talk about successful businessmen and cutting-edge enterprises, and provide time for advertising leading brands and products manufactured in India. We want the "INDIA TODAY" Project to be interesting and to contribute to further development of Russian-Indian relations.

Welcome to India!

India Today»!
